From Pink to Green & Meet My Lamby

There she is! (Way up at the top of the page!) My very first toy. Everyone I know thinks she's gross. She certainly has been through an awful lot. Almost as much as I have! But she is mine, and I love her in spite/because of how raggedy she is. I like to think I'm like her, in that, as raggedy as I am, Jesus calls me His own. I am Jesus' little lamb.

"I Am Jesus' Little Lamb"
by Henrietta L. von Hayn, 1724-1782

1. I am Jesus' little lamb,
Ever glad at heart I am;
For my Shepherd gently guides me,
Knows my need, and well provides me,
Loves me every day the same,
Even calls me by my name.

2. Day by day, at home, away,
Jesus is my Staff and Stay.
When I hunger, Jesus feeds me,
Into pleasant pastures leads me;
When I thirst, He bids me go
Where the quiet waters flow.

3. Who so happy as I am,
Even now the Shepherd's lamb?
And when my short life is ended,
By His angel host attended,
He shall fold me to His breast,
There within His arms to rest.

I think she's cute! It's great that you still have her after all these years.

Many sweet blessings!

Nice to meet you. Your blog offers many tempting treats! We love tea time at our house. I'll have to try some of your recipes.

Lulu,
Thanks! I think this template is more vivid, too. Hope I like it well enough to last a long while. I really shouldn't spend so much time fiddling around!
