The Third Commandment
Thou shalt sanctify the holy-day.

What does this mean?
--Answer.
We should fear and love God that we may not despise preaching and His Word, but hold it sacred, and gladly hear and learn it.

第三の戒め
安息日を聖なるものとして守りなさい。

問い　これはどういう意味ですか。
答え　私たちは神を畏れ、愛さなければなりません。ですから、説教や神の御言葉を軽視してはいけません。そうではなく、神の言葉を聖なるものと考え、喜んで自分から耳を傾け、それを学びなさい、という意味です。
